Cold weather = cold (and flu) season. This turmeric latte, aka "yellow milk" or "turmeric milk", has been my sick day staple ever since my grandma used to make it for me when I had the sniffles. Now, it is not only my sick day pick-me-up, but also a fave when I am in need of a little TLC. There is a latte talk about the immune boosting properties of turmeric and if that doesn't convince you, I am sure my hilarious pun will.
Cook Time: 5-10 minutes
Serves 1-2 (makes 1 big mug)
1 1/2 cup milk (of your choice)
1/2 tsp of turmeric
1/2 tsp honey
Mix ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil. (If you are having one of those days, use the microwave and it will take 3-5 minutes, just watch it closely to avoid a mess).
