Turmeric Latte

Cold weather = cold (and flu) season.

This turmeric latte, aka "yellow milk" or "turmeric milk", has been my sick day staple ever since my grandma used to make it for me when I had the sniffles. Now, it is not only my sick day pick-me-up, but also a fave when I am in need of a little TLC. There is a latte talk about the immune boosting properties of turmeric and if that doesn't convince you, I am sure my hilarious pun will.

Total Time: 5 to 10 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Serves 2 (or 1 big mug)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup milk (of your choice)

  • 1/2 tsp of turmeric

  • 1/2 tsp honey

  • a little fresh ground pepper (optional)

Method

  1. Mix ingredients in a pot and heat over low-medium heat on stovetop. You can use the microwave and it will take 3-5 minutes, just watch it closely to avoid a mess).

  2. Once it comes to a simmer, its ready! Be careful not to burn yourself as it will be hot.
